Q: Why install a blow-off valve on my RZR?
A: A blow-off valve releases excess boost pressure when you let off the throttle to help reduce compressor surge and protect the turbocharger.
Reduce Compressor Surge: Release trapped boost pressure when the throttle closes instead of letting pressure build against the compressor. The blow off valve helps reduce lift-off surge and repeated stress on the turbo during off-road driving.
Aluminum Alloy Construction: An aluminum alloy housing combines low weight with the strength needed around the turbo plumbing. The black anodized finish adds corrosion resistance and a clean look under the bodywork.
Spring Pressure Adjustment: Supplied replacement springs let you tailor valve response to the engine setup. Select the spring specified for your application rather than assuming the stiffest option is best for a tuned machine.
No Electrical Modifications: The mechanical BOV connects to compatible charge piping and a pressure-reference line without splicing factory wiring. The installation upgrades the valve setup without adding an electronic controller.
Matched Installation Components: Silicone hoses and stainless steel clamps come with the valve, along with mounting hardware. Having the main connection parts together saves you from sourcing individual pieces for the installation.
